Community Intensive Outpatient

Green Hill Recovery’s Community Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for emerging adult males and females in the Greater Raleigh-Durham area who are seeking treatment for substance use disorder and other co-occurring mental health disorders. IOP clients typically meet as a group for three hours three times per week for 10 to 16 weeks. Group work is complemented by weekly individual sessions and family programing intended to foster individual and family growth and restore trust while promoting robust recovery foundations.

Our IOP groups are led by master-level therapists who employ several clinical modalities, including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention Therapy, Mindfulness, and Experiential Therapy. In addition to our traditional clinical work, our academic team also helps to co-facilitate certain groups to better prepare our clients for their academic and vocational endeavors. Clients are held accountable through random drug and alcohol screens.

Green Hill Recovery’s proximity to NC State University, William Peace University, Meredith College, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Duke University allows clients to receive help for substance use disorder while simultaneously working towards their academic and career aspirations.
