Green Hill Recovery is pleased to announce that Tripp Johnson has been named Chief Executive Officer. Tripp brings leadership experience and a focus on organizational psychology to the position. He is passionate about helping individuals become the best versions of themselves, which in turn creates a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Tripp’s desire to serve led him to the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was a standout tennis player, leading the team to its first Patriot League Championship and NCAA berth in six years. After graduation, Tripp commissioned as an Infantry Officer and completed U.S. Army Ranger School, the military’s premier leadership course. He then deployed to Southern Afghanistan where he led an infantry platoon. Upon returning stateside, Tripp was selected to be his Company’s Executive Officer before he finished his service as a Battalion Operations Officer. Tripp was a second-year law student at UNC-Chapel Hill before leaving to become Green Hill Recovery’s COO.
Throughout his experience at West Point and in the Army, Tripp witnessed the devastating effects alcohol and drugs have on emerging adults. He sympathizes with young people who turn to drugs and alcohol to make sense of this confusing world. With his own life out of balance, Tripp began a daily ashtanga yoga and meditation practice, which he has continued for the past three years. In 2016, he travelled to India to delve deeper into the eastern science of yoga. Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices have helped Tripp reach his fullest potential and live peacefully in this turbulent world. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experiences to help others take control of their lives and maximize their potential. Green Hill Recovery is excited about the charisma and leadership Tripp brings to the CEO position.
