Jay is the Program Coordinator at Green Hill. As Program Coordinator, Jay helps lead the Program Facilitator team as well as provide direct guidance to the Green Hill residents through motivational interviewing and executive functioning coaching. He has a knack for building rapport with others through candid, loving conversations. Jay is instrumental in helping residents build health habits and integrate into the broader recovery community. In addition to his role as Program Coordinator, Jay is the Facilities Director and a certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS).
Jay has been with Green Hill nearly since inception. As a seasoned member of the team, Jay has been an integral part of developing the residential programming. As Facilities Director, Jay ensures that Green Hill’s residential and clinical spaces are kept in adherence with Joint Commission and NC DHHS standards. In 2019, Jay became a certified Peer Support Specialist and he offers recovery coaching to outpatient clients.
Jay strongly believes that there are numerous paths to recovery and he is passionate about helping young men find what works for them. Jay’s positive attitude and deep sense of accountability drive him to better himself, the Green Hill program, and residents’ lives on a daily basis. Drawing upon his own experience with substance use, treatment, and recovery, he uses his lived experience to mentor residents.

Jay is a North Carolina native and grew up in Charlotte. His passions include traveling to see his favorite band, Phish, disc golf, darts, collecting gemstones and minerals, running, and snowboarding. Jay is currently working to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and he sees his work at Green Hill becoming his career.
