Jon Vance is the Program Director of Green Hill Recovery. In his role Jon has the responsibility of managing the day-to-day operation of the Green Hill residence and supporting a culture of recovery, respect and fun. He works with an exceptional team of Program Facilitators who are dedicated to being positive mentors and guides with our residents. Working together – both residents and facilitators – create a positive community that is grounded in mutual support and care for one another.
Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Denison University and earned a Master’s in Divinity from Vanderbilt University. His previous experience working with emerging adults includes teaching and counseling at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois and as the Assistant Director of Residential and Judicial Affairs at Vanderbilt University. For the past 21 years, Jon served as the Associate Director of YMCA Camp Sea Gull and Seafarer.
He is energized about sharing his experience of long-term sobriety with the Green Hill community and helping others to build a strong foundation for meaningful and purposeful lives.

He is an avid traveler having spent time in over two dozen foreign countries and almost all fifty states. When he’s at home in Raleigh, Jon loves a good movie or book. He spends a lot of his free time with family and friends, enjoying good food, coffee and conversation.
