Krista Allen

Krista Allen, MSW, LCSW, is an outpatient therapist who serves as the Clinical Supervisor and Training Coordinator at the Advaita Collective, which includes Green Hill Recovery and Advaita Integrated Medicine. Krista is a licensed clinical social worker and brings over 10 years experience working with individuals and families in many different capacities. Krista graduated with her Masters in Social Work from NC State in 2015 and her B.S. in Social Work from University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2011.

Krista has provided clinical mental health services since 2015, including intensive in-home services for children and their families,outpatient therapy and outpatient therapy groups. Krista’s approach to therapy is informed by cognitive and dialectical behavioral frameworks, psychodynamic and relational, solutions and strengths focused, acceptance and commitment and trauma informed models. Krista takes an active stance in sessions and supports individuals in identifying their own goals and steps towards achieving these. In addition to therapy, Krista provides clinical supervision to masters levels interns and newly licensed clinicians. Krista also has many years experience with clinical program development and management. Krista is passionate about human connection, understanding, curiosity, reflection and empowerment and believes these things can be the catalyst for change. Krista also takes this approach in clinical supervision and trainings with other professionals in the field.

Krista hopes her work with the Advaita Collective will continue to allow her to provide high quality therapy, clinical supervision and consultation and training to therapists in the area. Krista is excited to be a part of the Advaita Collective’s mission to increase accessibility to mental health services and individualized whole-person care.
