Megan King

Megan King is the Admissions Manager for Substance Use Services at Advaita Health, overseeing admissions for Green Hill Recovery by Advaita Health. In her role, Megan spends much of her time speaking with potential clients and their guardians, guiding them through the admissions process with empathy and clarity. She also collaborates closely with the clinical team to ensure each client receives the best possible start to care and a smooth transition into treatment.

Born in Maryland and raised in Garner, North Carolina, Megan first discovered her passion for both writing and helping others at a young age. A 2019 graduate of Meredith College, she earned bachelor’s degrees in Communications and International Studies. During her final year, she interned at a local Chamber of Commerce, managing social media, providing administrative support, and assisting with event planning.

Since then, Megan has continued to grow her career in mission-driven settings, including completing her Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University. She hopes to use this foundation to practice as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. Deeply committed to social justice and accessibility in mental healthcare, Megan strives to be part of the solution to reducing barriers to quality treatment.

Outside of work, Megan can often be found with her nose in a sappy rom-com novel, lost in a true-crime podcast, or sipping coffee while watching New Girl for the ninth time. She loves to write, tap into her creative side, and dreams of one day performing improv or stand-up comedy. People describe her as empathetic, passionate, and driven—qualities that shine through in everything she does.
