When therapy and medication alone aren’t enough, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can be a helpful next step. IOPs typically combine individual and group therapy several days a week, offering more structure and support while participants remain engaged with their daily lives.
Mental health doesn’t look the same for everyone, and care tends to work best when it reflects the realities of someone’s life. That said, many IOPs end up looking and feeling remarkably similar.
So what makes Green Hill different?
The Green Hill difference starts with a team that takes the time to form a relationship with you.
With therapists and psychiatrists who bring a wide range of specialties, we can shape care around your unique needs. Our Mental Health IOP is open to all adults — there is no age limitation and no narrow demographic we’re built for. If you’re struggling and need more support than occasional appointments can offer, you’re in the right place.
Green Hill’s IOP
Our Mental Health IOP was designed with one thing in mind — making it as easy as possible to get expert care without turning your life upside down. Here’s what that looks like in practice:

OUR TREATMENT
From our offices to our entire team, we focus on creating an environment where care feels supportive, effective, and grounded — a place where you can feel at home.
At the center of that is evidence-based treatment that’s proven to work. We use approaches that help people feel better while building skills that improve life over time
Approaches We Use:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps you stop fighting thoughts and feelings you can’t control, and start taking steps toward the life you actually want. Useful if you’ve felt stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break out of.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Teaches you how to manage intense emotions, handle stress in healthy ways, and communicate better in your relationships. Especially helpful if emotions have felt overwhelming or out of control.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Helps you notice the thoughts that lead to harmful behaviors and learn how to change them. One of the most well-researched tools in mental health treatment.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A specialized therapy for trauma that helps your brain process difficult memories that are still affecting your daily life. Particularly effective for PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
Somatic Therapies Approaches that recognize the connection between your body and your mental health — helping you work through stress, trauma, and emotional pain through body-based awareness and techniques.
Psychiatry and Medication Management Our psychiatrists are involved in your care every day — not just when it’s time to review your medications. They work closely with your therapist to make sure everything about your treatment is working together.
Individual and Group Therapy A combination of one-on-one sessions with your therapist and group sessions where you build skills, gain perspective, and connect with others who understand what you’re going through.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for Depression A non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment for depression that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. Available for patients who haven’t responded fully to medication alone.
Whatever brings you here, our goal is to walk alongside you and help you build a life that’s better than what brought you here and feels worth living — using a team of specialists to match you with the approaches that work for you.
WHY GREEN HILL?
The difference at Green Hill isn’t a single thing. It’s how everything works together.
We practice Recovery Oriented System of Care principles — which means we think about the full arc of someone’s mental health journey, not just the weeks they’re in our program. Our therapists and psychiatrists work together as one coordinated team, treating each person as a whole — not just a diagnosis. And when the IOP ends, the care doesn’t. You move into the next phase of support with people who already know your story.
Most programs treat the crisis in front of them. We built something different. Getting through the hardest part is the first step — but what comes after is just as important. We built a system designed to support people through every phase of getting better, not just the most acute one.
THE ADVAITA HEALTH ADVANTAGE — LIFE AFTER MENTAL HEALTH IOP
One of the most common concerns people have at the end of a structured program like our Mental Health IOP is what comes next. At Green Hill, that transition is built into the system from day one.
When you’re ready to move out of IOP, most patients transition to ongoing therapy and psychiatric support through AIM: Advaita Integrated Medicine — our sibling company, built by us and located right next door, so that our patients always have access to expert mental health care long after a structured program ends.
Many patients are already working with an AIM provider during IOP — which means by the time the program ends, that relationship is already in place. No new intake. No abrupt medication changes. No explaining your story to someone new. Just the next phase of care with people who already know you.
Your needs will change over time — more support at some points, less at others. That’s a normal part of the process, not a setback. We built Green Hill and AIM as one connected system so that wherever you are in your journey, you always have somewhere familiar to turn.

Regular therapy typically means one appointment per week with a single provider.
