Green Hill Recovery Is In-Network with United Healthcare

Green Hill Recovery is in-network with United Healthcare, which may help reduce your out-of-pocket costs compared to receiving care from an out-of-network provider.

When a provider is in-network, the insurance company has negotiated rates for services.

This often results in:

As an in-network provider, we work directly with United Healthcare and submit claims on your behalf, helping reduce the administrative burden on patients and families.

United Healthcare, Optum, and UMR: What Does the Name on Your Card Mean?

A common sources of confusion is that many people have a card that says Optum or UMR rather than United Healthcare.

In many cases, these organizations are connected.

United Healthcare

United Healthcare is the insurance carrier responsible for many commercial and employer-sponsored health plans.

Optum

Optum is a healthcare services company that is part of the broader UnitedHealth Group organization. Behavioral health benefits and provider networks are often administered through Optum.

UMR

UMR is a third-party administrator that manages certain employer-sponsored health plans. While the card may say UMR, many plans utilize United Healthcare’s provider network.

If your insurance card says United Healthcare, Optum, or UMR, our admissions team can verify your benefits and determine whether Green Hill is in-network with your specific plan.

Your Coverage Rights

Federal law provides protections for individuals seeking mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) generally requires most insurance plans to provide behavioral health benefits that are comparable to medical and surgical benefits.

While coverage details vary between plans, these protections help ensure that mental health and addiction treatment receive fair consideration within your insurance coverage.
