Megan King, MSW, LCSW, LCAS
Megan King is a therapist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding. She brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her work and is committed to creating a space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Born in Maryland and raised in Garner, North Carolina, Megan first discovered her passion for both writing and helping others at a young age. A 2019 graduate of Meredith College, she earned bachelor’s degrees in Communications and International Studies. During her final year, she interned at a local Chamber of Commerce, managing social media, providing administrative support, and assisting with event planning.
Megan later earned her Master of Social Work from George Mason University, where she further developed her commitment to mental health care and social justice. Her clinical interests include helping individuals better understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shape their lives while developing practical skills to move toward their goals. She is especially passionate about improving access to quality mental health care and reducing barriers that prevent people from getting the support they need.
Outside of work, Megan can often be found with her nose in a rom-com novel, listening to a true crime podcast, or sipping coffee while watching New Girl for the ninth time. She enjoys writing, embracing creative pursuits, and hopes to one day try improv or stand-up comedy. People often describe her as empathetic, passionate, and driven—qualities she brings into every therapeutic relationship.
