Nick Slovak

Nick Slovak is the Chief Operating Officer of Advaita Health, which includes Advaita Integrated Medicine and Green Hill Recovery. As COO, Nick focuses on providing the staff at Green Hill and across Advaita Health with the tools and structure they need to deliver compassionate, innovative, and effective care.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the University of Southern Maine.

Before joining Advaita Health, Nick worked in extended-care recovery services, where he developed and implemented academic and vocational modules, alumni programming, and a range of experiential and adventure-based therapies. He later joined the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE)—the largest J-1 visa sponsor in the United States—where he coordinated international exchange programs for over 20,000 students from 50 countries.

Nick is passionate about helping young people navigate the transition into adulthood. Drawing on his own recovery journey, he brings both empathy and insight to mentoring individuals through early recovery and re-entry into academic and professional life. He believes in a holistic approach to recovery that emphasizes balance, purpose, and connection.

Originally from Long Island, NY, Nick relocated from Portland, ME, to Raleigh, NC. An avid adventurer and outdoorsman, he enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, and snowboarding. A Registered Maine Guide, he has led numerous expeditions through the mountains and waterways of New England. Nick also loves to travel and has visited four continents and more than fifteen countries. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Whitney, and their dog, Sheppy.
